Egalitarianisms Black

Egalitarianisms black comprises three works that appear almost identical at first glance. Black, reflective Parsol glass panels measuring 40 × 60 centimeters hold horizontally threaded carbon rods, 80 centimeters long and ultrafine in form. A transparent, barely visible thread suspends them in front of the glass surface.
The panels mirror their surroundings, creating an interplay between reality and reflection. The rods cut through these reflections like delicate horizons, their alignment following the contours of nearby landscapes. Extending beyond the glass, they visually continue on the wall behind.
In two versions, the rods are white: Against the black glass, they draw clear lines whose ends vanish into the white wall – only their shadows remain. In the third, the rods are black: Here, the relation reverses – the lines emerge as dark drawings on the wall, while before the glass they almost disappear.
Every step, gesture, or breath of air sets them in motion. What appears solid and still reveals itself as a fragile equilibrium in constant dialogue with its surroundings. Perception connects what is physically separate – matter and shadow, reality and image.
The title Egalitarianisms refers to the principle of equality – in both social and physical terms. Like particles in a quantum field, indistinguishable yet mutually dependent, the elements of these works exist in reciprocal relation. Equality here is not a fixed order, but a living fabric of resonance – a balance in continual transformation.
